As part of our programmes, we provide a complimentary Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for your staff to ensure training is aligned with corporate strategy and the training goals and objectives of the corporation and the individual trainee.

Balanced Scorecard Approach

Our approach to training and development is entrenched in the Balanced Scorecard approach to business and management. We purposely map our training to your balanced scorecard to achieve the learning outcomes that enhance your bottom line.

Instructional Design

We design our learning and assessment materials around specific developmental outcomes and are able to use standardised, configured and customised materials in delivering our training. We also custom design user manuals, induction programmes and product-specific training.

Case Studies

Every one of our programmes comes with a raft of Applied Case Studies that are taken from your industry and are timely, up-to-date, relevant and experiential. We are able, at no extra cost, to add further case studies pertinent to your organisation in our training programme.

Instructional Style

Our instructional style is experiential, hands-on and fun; geared to results for the employee and the employer. We cater for diverse audiences with different learning styles, learning drivers and personality profiles.

Delivery Style

The delivery style we adopt is in-class in a workshop setting that allows trainees to interact, apply the case studies and develop their skills in the subject matter.

We also deliver online via our Learning Management System (LMS) and via distance learning.

Audience Considerations

All our programmes take into account the learning audience, their skills and approach to learning. We cater for learners at entry level to senior executive management levels and Boards of Directors. Our training applies to private corporations, local, state and federal government as well as not for profits and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), institutions and international firms. Capability and Leadership Framework (CALF)

We apply a custom-designed Capability and Leadership Framework (CALF) to our professional training programmes. This framework is designed to align learning to career goals, business goals, talent considerations and the Balanced Scorecard. This framework is applied at the customer’s discretion and can be used by human resource professionals in the application of professional development programmes.

Performance Frameworks

We apply a LearnCorp Leadership Performance Framework (LLPF) to our development programmes in coordination with Learning and Development Managers and Human Resource Managers to better match learning, its outcomes and the training content to the performance framework used in your organisation.

Professional Development

There are a range of Professional Development (PD) programmes on offer at LearnCorp under the Professional Development Courses (PDC) section of this booklet. These programmes can assist professionals to apply PD hours to their development plan for the year.

The 70:20:10 Framework

At LearnCorp we apply the 70:20:10 model in learning and development. The model was developed by Morgan McCall and his colleagues Robert W. Eichinger and Michael M. Lombardo at the Centre for Creative Leadership in 1996. This was based on the results of their survey with successful and effective managers which revealed that learning is:

70% from the job the employee undertakes

20% from people

10% from courses and reading

The model stresses the need to extend learning beyond the classroom and the course paradigm. It also provides a framework for improving and extending traditional training and learning into the workplace where:

70 refers to workplace learning and performance support

20 refers to social learning including informal coaching and mentoring

10 refers to structured learning

Learning Management System (LMS) and Online Learning

In addition to our in-class delivery, we have a cutting edge Learning Management System (LMS) built on a Moodle platform with SCORM-compliant courses and assessments that can be accessed globally via an array of online devices.

Distance Learning (DE)

For learners with the need to obtain physical materials and phone support due to distance, timing or location considerations, LearnCorp provides a distance learning option whereby we provide printed materials sent by post to the learner along with phone and email support to complete the course.

Blended Learning

We are also able to apply a mix of all the learning modes to suit your requirements. Mixtures of face to face, online and distance are all possible in a variety of formats and percentages.

We run over 100 training programmes ranging from half-day workshops to seven-day intensive programmes. We also facilitate in-house meetings and company functions in addition to training for specific problem solving such as productivity, system usage, process adoption and change management. Our more basic courses run for beginners and for aspiring managers and supervisors.

We are a corporate training company and consequently our courses do not lead to qualifications. We are not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), however, we do work with a wide array of RTO’s who do offer qualifications in a range of subject matter areas. We have listed these in this catalogue and will be glad to provide you with relevant details if you are interested in a particular course. There are various terms and conditions that apply to qualification courses, so we recommend you contact us for a discussion to assist you in ascertaining the course relevance to your needs, prior to enrolling.

Our Certificates of Attendance

We are a pure training and development company focussed on productivity and business issues resolution through training which means issuing qualifications is not our primary target. We do issue a wall-mountable high quality certificate for every attendee in all of our programmes along with a LearnCorp Skills Matrix that shows the list of newly acquired or enhanced skills for the learner.

Costs and Class Sizes

Our fees are all-inclusive. There are no hidden fees and no extra conditions, but we run our training based on minimum class numbers, so if we do not reach that lower limit of participants, we may have to postpone the class. We only charge you once the course is confirmed as running. Our online courses can run with any number of enrolees.

Short Courses

These are usually one-day workshops that are specific and focussed. Each of these covers a particular business, commercial or managerial topic and covers the main themes and practical areas in that topic. Every workshop leads to a Certificate of Attendance.

Two Day Specialist Workshops

The two day workshops cover an in-depth topic with a range of theoretical and practical applications. The topics in these sessions tend to be specialised or niche and attract a specific trainee wanting to delve into the depth and breadth of a particular topic.

Online Learning

Most of our short courses are offered online, thus providing a degree of flexibility and time management manoeuvring room for the trainee. These courses are replicas of the face to face Short Courses and the face to face Two Day Specialist Workshops.

Customised In-House Training

This is one of the most powerful ways to enhance the capability of your team and focus the impact of training. All our courses are offered with the option of being undertaken at your premises and designed to suit your specific corporate needs. Customised, Special and Bespoke Training

Self-Management

Courses in this category are designed to improve the skills, productivity and abilities of the individual by focussing on the development of their own potential. The courses on offer in this category are broad. They cover technical, commercial, business, management and interpersonal skills.

Team Management

The target of these courses is to ensure a synergy in the productivity, cooperation and outcomes achieved by a team as the combination of efforts of all its members. Courses in this category are all about team cohesion, workforce planning, team development and growth.

Business Management

Business management courses are designed to cover the business specialities of commerce, operations and enterprise that underpin the skills required to enter into or expand an enterprise. The skills are also applied in supervisory and managerial roles. Through these courses participants are able to build a strong foundation in management practice.

Designed for the mid-level employee, supervisor or manager, this category of courses covers all the major areas of managing, running, administering and growing a business and is our largest category in terms of number of courses on offer.

The Human Capital aspects of training are also catered for in our offering with Psychometric and Personality Profiling and Testing services.

Technology Training  

These hands on specialist courses are taught in a lab or pseudo lab environment and focus on technical IT and technology training as well as vendor certification form a range of the world’s foremost technology and software vendors. The training occurs in partnership with our technology partners and sister training companies with certifications in the delivery of these courses. Many courses lead to actual vendor certification, though some are focussed on practical and software application IT skills.

Executive and Senior Manager Training

These specialist courses are aimed at the experienced practitioner at senior manager, executive, board or specialist level. The courses focus on compliance, prudent business practice, corporate governance, fiduciary duties and the roles of directors, officers, senior managers as well as those of prime investors. These courses are designed for board-level executives or those aspiring to such positions.

Diplomatic Training

This specialised area of training is dedicated to diplomats, students of diplomacy, practitioners of international relations, politicians and individuals aspiring to a career in diplomatic relations, foreign aid programs and international not for profit organisations.

The courses in this programme cover niche, specialist areas of knowledge pertinent to an Australian and international audience. We train embassies, consulates, diplomats, diplomatic missions, international business leaders and individuals wishing to work for a diplomatic mission, embassy or international body. The course contents are delivered in a highly professional setting and are customisable to an array of diplomatic training subjects depending on the specific mission or consulate or country.
